Florist Recs Please

Hello Ladies, I'm at the point of pickng a florist and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendatons. I've seen great recs for Bed of Roses in Yonkers and Westchester Floral, are there any others I should check out? Thanks for any help!

Depending on your budget, Lee Vasquez. I loved her work, but ended up getting more from Bed of Roses. Flowers aren't really important to me so I went with more for my money.

I've heard good things about Westchester Floral.  How about Arcadia?

Floral Designs by Janet King-she is very cool, straightforward.  She is in Eastchester, was in NewRo.  Website really doesn't give much info.

I'd say check Arcadia..even though some say its pricey..we think they are affordable.

Without a doubt Westchester Floral - Danny was my favorite vendor and my fflowers were so beautiful!

I would stay away from Arcadia. Not only are they expensive but that place is like a wedding warehouse. I met with Sammy and personally, I did not find him very open or willing to entertain my thoughts/ideas especially when it came to style and budget. I wanted a mix of small and tall centerpieces and some tables with just candles and petals. He simply said "no" - no rhyme or reason. When I asked why, he said that he knows what hes doing and I should trust him. While this is probably true, it certainly took the wind out of my sails so to speak. I left his office sorta disheartened rather than excited.

I would check out Westchester Floral, Danny truly is amazing. At our first meeting he had some great ideas to what I brought to the table and is really great about staying within your budget and not trying to upsell.

When I saw the samples, unfortunately he was unable to get the vases I wanted, but he came up with an awesome alternative and while I entered the appointment a little bummed, I left completely at ease knowing that Danny would be able to make it all come together..

Seriously..check him out!

I am going with Bed of Roses as well. The guy is funny and really creative, and he came $200 under our budget and gave us free bunch for Blessed Mother altar. I loved him!

I am using the Flower Boutique in Mahopac for my bouquets. She also does centerpieces and frequently travels to lower Westchester.

I completely agree with sjsphish about Arcadia.  I didn't care for the whole experience. 

I met with Frank at House of Flowers just down the street from Arcadia and really liked him.  Going again tomorrow to book, now that I really know what I want!!

We're using Artistic Manor in Pelham.  Ron has been amazing to work with. He stayed in our budget and came up with amazing ideas. Just went this weekend for a 'preview' - he did my whole bouquet, a BM bouquet, AND a centerpiece. They were awesome!!
