Anyone use/know anything about J & L Heavenly Florist in Wappingers Falls? What about Villa Borg

I'm booked with Liz at J & L Heavenly Florist in Wappingers - she is the Villa Borghese's built-in package florist but I wanted a lot of things changed plus obviously the bouquets, etc - has anyone used her before?

Anyone who's been to events at the Villa has probably seen her work, I upgraded to the Queen package tall centerpieces as well. I'm just wondering what her flowers will come out like at the final outcome.... thanks in advance!!

  • I am getting married at the villa in October but I have not met with the florist yet. I think there is a bridal show there in the next week or two. I believe J&L set up a booth there with real flower arrangements.

  • I am getting married in July at the Villa and I am using Liz for all my flowers. I have the Crown Jewel package, but I added some flowers to the centerpieces. I have met with her twice to plan my flowers and she has been really nice to work with.  She makes a lot of nice suggestions and has tried to work with my vision.  I haven't seen the finished product yet, but I have seen some of the bridal bouquets she has put together and they seem really nice.
  • My wedding is at the end of June. I have also booked with Villa Borghese, but I decided to take the credit instead of using their flowers. I looked into the florist about changing the flowers on the queen package from the carnations to roses but the florist wanted to charge me an extra $65 per centerpiece to change 5 carnations to 5 roses. Thought that was really over priced. I also didn't like the smell of the mums in the centerpieces or the look. Not trying to offend anyone who is going to use the florist or the centerpieces, but my personal feeling about the centerpieces is that they looked and smelled like a spray from a funeral. I
I also have allergies so I went with my own centerpieces that I know will work good for my allergies.
