I'm curious ... does anyone know how vendors get their "The Knot Best of" status?  I've seen a few vendors around with this signage and was curious about it.  I was just looking for something on the website for Top Class Limo and noticed it.  Thought it was comical since 95% of people on here recommend Silver Star over TC.

not sure if they still do it this way, but it used to be a poll set up once a year from the  magazine. on the website now it just says they "polled thousands of hudson valley brides". i found that kind of fishy myself. i rather take recommendations from the boards. i wonder if paying the knot some kind of fee to get that status is possible, because i do know that if a vendor pays the knot extra money they can be listed as one of the "recommended vendors" on the website. also i just took a look at the 2010 Knot Best Reception sites in the hudson valley. my site isnt on it, but my site is much better than some of the ones that made the list. i bet its all about $$$

Ya know I was wondering the same thing because there's a list of the best vendors of the HV from 2010 and my venue is on it. It's a good question.

lol, I used The Pros for videography and photography. They were voted best on the 2008 and 2009 "Knot Reviews". Several ppl on here have heard bad things about  them, but my experience with them was fine. Who knows?
