Help with Photographers?

Ok so this is THE most stressful part of the wedding planning so far.  I can not find a photographer I love who is on our budget, and it's driving me crazy.

I found one we loved who had an awesome price (around 3000 for 2 photographers and a videographer) but of course they weren't available for my date.. so now i'm basically looking for the same price range, and the same things included.

Im looking for a photographer who is fun and care free .. I love shots of the wedding party jumping in the air, and just being silly - as well as those romantic cute pictures as well.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I found it so hard to find someone in that price range... have you tried Fantasy Flash? They do both video and photo and I think when you get them together, it's a decent package. I only found photogs around here to be no less than like $4 or $5K....

Did you try Christopher Anthony Studios (Double Image Sounds and Entertainment). He is located in Yorktown Heights and is very affordable.

You should check out www.antiquehoney.com Monica is simply the best. She has good packages and you will love her as a person. She wont miss a detail of the wedding and will get the fun pictures you want. She also has a photo booth that could be a fun add on to the wedding.

I just posted a review for Hudson Valley Photography.  She is on the high end of your budget but in my opinion, totally TOTALLY worth it.

Check out Blue Sky Photography... the photographer has another company with a second photographer that I can't remember the name of but they were within that price point and I think they work with a photographer...  Blue Sky is within the 4-5K range but their company has less established photographers that have I think like 6 yeras or less experience and they go for less money... around the 2k range I think!  Good luck!!
I get the stress... I really wanted to find a venue and a photographer.  Most important to me... in case you want to stretch your budget, I was able to get a photographer and a videographer for just a bit over 4k but I also got a larger package with my photographer so if you wanted a more basic package she could probably get you under 4K and more towards the 3,500 range w the video... EID photography, Elissa Davidson.  I love her and she's got a fantastic personality and a great outlook for photography!

We just did our engagement sessions with Owl's Eye Studios in Beacon and couldn't be any happier.  They are a husband/wife duo who only do photography but their packages are so inexpensive and high quality.  We are paying 1,400 for 10 hrs coverage, 2 photographers, an engagement shoot, all rights to engagement shoot photos, disk of engagement photos, a 20 page album, all rights to wedding photos, 2 printed wedding photos, disc of wedding photos, and a dvd of our photos put together.  I am in love with this duo and definitely plan to get all my future photos done with them!

It's going to be hard to find what you're looking for at that price.  We're working with Robert Wayne Photography who is low $2k to shoot and get the disc with full rights.  You can find good video guys in the low $1k range, but we're just having a family member shoot the important parts for us on a handicam.

we are using alex kaplan  twoweddingphotographers.com ...we got two photographers for 10 hours plus engagement pics for 2000  hes the best deal you can get and hes awesome to work with...call him asap though because he gets booked up

EID Photography.  Elissa just photographed my wedding this past Friday and I am so happy with her.  I can't wait for the pictures.  The engagement photo shoot she did was amazing.

if you are still looking check out Owls Eye Studios in Beacon, they are the cutest husband/wife team, young and energetic. Our photos look like something out of a fashion magazine and we only paid $1800. I believe their highest package is $2500 with parent books. They are extremely professional but they are fun moreover not your typical stuffy professional, we actually became great friends with them after our wedding and cant wait to have our baby so they can take photos of her!
