Here is the description:
I bought this dress in October 2011 at Running of the Brides in Newton, MA. I purchased it for $300, and it retailed for about $950. The tag from Running of the Brides is still on it.It is by Eden Bridals, Style 2322. This dress is very similar to the...
Badgley Mischka "Lauren" Dress. It is a beautiful, and very unique dress. As much as I love it, it isn't "me" and I bought it not wanting to leave the store empty handed. I waffled back and forth for several months, but finally ended up buying a new dress. It is a polyester ivory satin, however it doesn't feel or look cheap at all. My new dress is a natural silk satin (and cost much more) and you can barely tell the difference. As you can see from the pictures, it is a slight fit and flare silhouette with a gorgeous train. The top of the dress has delicate illusion straps with beading. The neckline features a crumb catcher top. There is also delicate beading in the center of the bust. I've tried this dress on with a nude long line bra, and you cannot see anything in between the bust, so it will work for someone looking for a modest neckline. The empire waist has matching beading with rhinestones and beads under the bust. The dress does have a bit of a trumpet/fit and flare silhouette, but there is plenty of room to dance comfortably. Just above the knee, the dress flares out, and there are beautiful beaded appliques on either side. The dress has beautiful beading on the back of the train, and I think it would fabulous with a French Bustle.I have posted some pics of the dress on a model, and also on myself. I am wearing 4" heels in the pictures, and am usually 5'2. The dress has never been altered, so there is plenty of length for taller brides. Also, the straps are a little long for me, so they would be long enough for someone tall, or if you are short like me you can easily shorten them.If you are in the Boston area I'm happy to let you come try on the dress, and if you wished to pay cash and for me to not have to ship the dress, I would certainly take $50 off the price for you. Please let me know if you have any questions, and I am happy to send more pictures of the dress or detail shots. Thanks!
