The Round Hill House

Hey!

I'm looking for any Round Hill Brides who might have ideas on after party, hotels and rehersal dinner. Has anyone made any decisions or know of any good restaurants / hotels nearby? Is anyone renting a shuttle bus?

We are trying to decide if we should book or not, we love the place but just arnt sure about the surrounding areas.

Thank you!

I'm getting married at Round Hill next August.  We blocked rooms at the Homewood Suites by Stewart Airport.  They actually provide a round trip bus to Round Hill courtesy of West Point Tours.  The bus is costing us $350.  The rest of the cost is distributed among the guest rooms, which are about $165 a night.  I've also heard of Round Hill brides booking the Holiday Inn Express in Chester.

If you're looking at other lodging options and just want a shuttle bus, I'd still recommend West Point Tours.  In addition to nice coach buses, they also have school buses for a cheaper rate.

We're having our rehearsal dinner at a private home instead of a restaurant, but I was briefly considering the Vinum Cafe at Brotherhood Winery.  I can't speak for the food or service there, but we thought it could be pretty unique to hold the event at a winery.

Feel free to PM me if you have any more questions!

FI and I will be getting married at Round HIll in June. We are setting up a room block at the Holiday Inn Express in Chester. They work with a shuttle company that offers two different packages. Not sure what kind of after-party place you are looking for, but I heard that there is a sports bar/restaurant/blacklight bowling alley down the block from the Holiday Inn that's open until 2am.
  • We just blocked rooms at the Holiday Inn in Chester. There is a room on the main floor you can reserve for 3 hours at $150 and it's got tables chairs couches tv etc. Super nice people and they have a transportation company they work with.
