Round Hill brides

HI ladies,

Sorry I haven't been on the boards much lately, life has been crazy busy! Anyway, my wedding is July 4 2010 at Round Hill. My fiance and I have been engaged since August 2008 and still cannot decide on the cocktail hour stations. I'm not sure how many to have, and what was good?

I was thinking maybe the pizza station, and one other cocktail station, and then adding maybe the crepe station for dessert. For those of you that had your weddings there (or will have it there) how many stations did you have, and what did you pick?

Thanks in advance!

I'm a RHH bride but sorry I can't help! We are far from planning the menu / stations yet.

    Good Luck!

    We're having:

    Garden station
    Pizza station
    Chinese station

    Then the buffet dinner

    Wedding cake
    Mini sweets
    Cordial station
    Gelato bar

I'm kinda second-guessing the gelato bar, though, and wondering if the tried-and-true chocolate fountain might be a better option ...

hmmm Jen, chocolate fountains and gelato are both so good! I do love me some pineapple and bananas dipped in chocolate a ton though. How many ppl are you having about? I wanted buffet then our guest list got a little crazier then I imagined and I don't know if it will be too hectic? It worked well for my sisters wedding there though

Right now it looks like there'll be somewhere between 140 and 160. They assure me it won't get too crazy, so I hope they're right.

I just love buffets, becuase I'm a picky eater and like to pick what I want. And I like seconds ;-)

Thanks for the input. i am also having around 120 or so, and we are doing sit down dinner. I was thinking maybe pizza and the comfort food new station, and then cordial and mini sweets with the wedding cake.

Hi!  We're actually not doing any stations during cocktail hour (except the garden station that comes with).  They will have so much food being passed around that we thought it would be enough to keep guests fed until the sit-down dinner.  We decided to use our station money for the mini sweets station during dessert - the mini-cheesecakes and chocolate covered strawberries are especially good.

I couldn't make up my mind between the Garden and Tuscan stations so they made a combo of them for me. Perfect! We also had the Mini Sweets and Cordial Stations. Everything was delicious!
