Is anyone planning an event there, or has been there recently? Can you tell me anything about dealing with the special events person? We are planning a small wedding in the area (50), already picked a place, but just saw some beautiful pictures of this place, and thought to check it out as well. If not for the reception it self, perhaps for an RD dinner. Thank you

I remembered I inquired there back in 2008 and the price then $160pp but it was beautiful

I also just found a couple of articles that the place had filed for bankruptcy and a bride is suing them. I don't know how I feel about that. Not sure if she is suing because they are not operational or because they are stressing her out with the filing. I think we'll stick with our first choice.

Don't waste your time. I looked there originally and loved it at first, but honestly couldn't deal with the management. It was near impossible to get a hold of them. Phone calls and emails would literally be completely ignored. When you're trying to give someone your business and they ignore you, it's a little ridiculous. Also, beware because there are hidden costs that they don't tell you about initially. AND they don't give you options for dinner. They insist all your guests eat the same thing. I could go on and on...

thanks all. We are definitely sticking with The Garrison. It was probably a minor case of buyers remorse, as soon as we put the deposit down, I thought there might be a prettier place close by. I would have considered the  Montverde as an option for people to stay or have the RD dinner there. But not so sure now.
