Hi there-
You guys were so great in providing me suggestions for DJs I thought I'd ask for reviews...
I'm talking to 5 DJs right now:
DJ Gaza- expensive
Much Music
Enriquez Entertainment
JTD Productions


Additionally I've been talking to the following florists:
Engaging Floral Designs
A Night in Bloom
Bella Fiori

Does anyone have any reviews of any of these??  I'd really appreciate it!  I'm planning this Hudson Valley wedding from South Jersey so my time to meet with vendors is limited- any insight would be great!

check out dance time entertainment. great guys and very reasonably priced.

as for your florists, i've heard of bella fiori, don't know much about them though. never heard of the other two. we're using westchester floral designs in pelham.

I'm using Much Music for my wedding in May.  Larry has been great to work with so far.  Really cares about his work and your wedding.  He was the dj for my friends wedding that I attended and i really liked him, plus she raved about him.  Good luck in your search

chrisnjay- Is Larry doing your wedding?  He's not available my date he has a guy named Lou available...  I don't know why I am so paranoid about this decision!

We decided to go with Enriquez Entertainment for our DJ. I've been to several weddings that he worked at and our wedding coordinator and photographer highly recommended him.  His prices were within our budget so we booked him on the spot.

As far as florists, I did meet with Heather from A Night in Bloom. I didn't end up using her because I was a bit wary that she didn't have her own florist shop - she operates out of her house. The photos of her work looked lovely and she really listened to everything I had to say. She was very creative, offered lots of ideas and will work within your budget. I know someone on here gave her great reviews.

Hey Sarabeth- Larry is doing my wedding- we booked him very early on in my planning process. It is a big decision.  Maybe ask Larry if you could meet with him and Lou to make you more comfortable?  If it makes you feel any better, I get the impression from Larry that he wouldn't have anyone work for him that he didn't trust to do a good job.  I'm sure he would be more than happy to have you meet Lou.

I didn't use Enriquez but of all of the ones you mentioned, I did meet with him.  I thought he was a really nice kid (sorry, he is younger than me and to me, a kid LOL) and seemed very into his job (in a good way).  He was my second choice.

I ended up with Marianne's Florist in Poughkeepsie.  My number one choice  was Morgan's Florist. Their work is fantastic! If budget isn't too much of an issue then I would highly recommend meeting with Craig.

sarabeth...I used Spinning with Style...DJ Bri Swatek (www.djbriswatek.com).  He was so super easy to work with, tailored it to our requests and likes/dislikes...and had everyone from my 2 1/2 yr old nephew to an 80 year old aunt/uncle.  People never left the dancefloor.  Tell him Rich and Steph sent you!

And, he very willingly, customized our entrance music...I wanted the music intro to one of my fave songs and he took it and looped it.  It was great.
