Looking for a dressmaker

My daughter is 9 and is standing with me at the alter.  I'm sorry to say she is very overweight and I am having diffulty finding a dress to fit her.  The plus size gowns at David's Bridal all have bust lines that are not suited for a child. 

I was wondering if anyone knows of a seamstress that can make a custom plus size gown that still has that look that is appropriate for a child..

Did you look at the Junior Bridesmaids dresses at DB? They are more child appropriate and go up to size 16 or 18. Not sure what size your daughter wears, but that might be an option. I agree, a regular bridesmaid dress wouldn't be appropriate for a child's body.

My friend used Rose Papi in Orange County, NY 914-261-0397.  She had to custom tailor a dress that simply couldn't fit!
