Hotel Accommodations in Fishkill Area

I am getting married next year at the church in Cold Spring with a reception to follow at the Roundhouse at Beacon Falls in Beacon, NY. I was hoping most of my guests could stay at one of the hotels in the Fishkill area since many guests are travelling for the wedding anyways. (I'm from Westchester and my fiance is from Long Island)
So far I have looked at Courtyard Marriott and Hampton Inn. Does anyone have a preference as to which hotel is nicer? Or is there another one I should check out?
We are planning on having a breakfast the next morning so we hope to choose a hotel that will make our guests feel relaxed and at ease. Any tips on blocking off rooms would be helpful also!!

Re: Hotel Accommodations in Fishkill Area

  • I actually blocked few rooms in Courtyard Marriott for my wedding in May 2013. I think Marriott is a bit nicer than Hampton Inn. Good luck!

  • i just blocked rooms at the courtyard marriott. It was just completely renovated last fall and it has an indoor pool for your guests. Also you do not have to put a percentage down to block rooms. I blocked 15 rooms, for october for 119 a night. and if not all rooms are booked by 3 weeks before the wedding then they release them. I also got a quote from the hyatt house too for 149 and they have kitchenettes and separate living rooms from their bedrooms.

  • Did you have your wedding at The Roundhouse yet? I would love to hear about the food and how it went? I just booked my reception there for 2014.
  • We're booked at the Marriott for October 2013.  They've been a pleasure to work with so far.  Monthly updates on how many rooms in your block have booked, and they've already added more rooms to our block when we got close to being totally booked up.  In addition, I have a couple people coming quite a few days earlier than our block was for but they honored the discounted rate for all nights.
  • @Aimes33m Im glad to hear that the Marriott is being so helpful. I plan to use them for my wedding in October 2014.

I got married almost four years ago but we blocked the Courtyard and Hotel Sierra (which I think is a Hyatt now)...both hotels were great to work with and the guests had no problems in each.  We also wanted all he guests on the same side of Route 9

Thank you for your help! ' I have one block with the Courtyard, and I was looking for another hotel.
