Hotel Postcards? Long!

So I'm a little frustrated (various reasons) and now I'm not sure what to do about getting hotel information out to the guests. I put the Sheraton in all of our information (std's, website, etc). People booked their hotel rooms and now our room block in the Sheraton has been fullfilled, but unfortunetly the hotel is completely sold out already.

So I coordinate a block of rooms at another hotel down the street. Nobody knows about hotel "B" because it wasn't originally in the plans. Our wedding is September 4, so invites aren't going out for some time. I'm worried about people trying to book a hotel room in the Sheraton, and getting rejected, all the while not knowing about the second hotel.

I apologize if that was insanely confusing. I was debating mailing out ASAP a postcard with the updated hotel information so people will be able to book early. Do you think this is neccisary or I should just wait until I send out the invitations?

TIA!

put it on your website. and if people can't book at the original hotel they will probably call you to see what to do, and you can then tell them about the other hotel.

I agree, if you have a website, put it on there, also start spreading it via word of mouth or facebook (private messages to oot guests, not a status update).

siobhan!!!! the same thing happened to me!!!! ugh, what a pain. i'm using word of mouth and contacting anyone that i know wanted to book a room but hasn't yet. i do plan on updating my website, but dont feel that's enough. everyone keeps telling me that people will contact me if they need suggestions on where to stay.

    good luck girl!!!

It's always something Amanda!!! I updated the website too, but I know some people have never checked it and probably wont. Ugh! It's frustrating to say the least.

Can you send your invitations out a little earlier? Perhaps listing both hotels? (Or list both but indicate that the first hotel might be booked?
