Aruba for Honeymoon - Has Anyone Been?

Hi Ladies,

Has anyone been to Aruba and if so, where did you stay? Looking for feedback on hotels and whether or not anyone did all inclusive at Occidental or RIU.

I went there for vacation, not HM. It is AMAZING! I loved it! We stayed at a non-AI but I heard good things about both of those. you should check out tripadvisor.com for reviews

Hi!

One of my friends parents have a time share at the place La Cabana I believe. We may be going to there for our honeymoon in Aruba because they would let us use their week for their time share and just pay the difference for changing the week. I know my friend went there and LOVED Aruba!

We went for our HM.  We stayed at the Divi Aruba. The island is split between high-rise and low-rise hotels.  The high-rises are the ones like Occidental and RIU. The 'bells and whistles' are available more at the high-rise hotels. We just wanted to relax and enjoy the beach and the beach is better in the lowrise section.

We LOVED the all-inclusive option and wouldn't go to a carribean island again without doing it.  It made life so easy to just walk up, order a drink, food etc and not have to worry about anything except a few $ for tips.

I did 99% of my reserach on the tripadvisor.com forums.  They were very helpful.
We did the 1/2 day ABC jeep tour and it was great.
