Bridal Salons

Where should I go? So far I have been to kays in middletown and bella couture in newburgh. I have found dresses that I like but not in love with. Does anyone have any recommendations? I would like to go somewhere in Rockland County. Thanks in advance.

Since the other places you visited where in Orange, I highly recommend Reginella in Montgomery!! Rita and her staff are absolutely wonderful and treated me like family. I couldn't have asked for better. Her gowns are gorgeous and reasonably priced. Such a joy to work with them!

If you are willing to go to Dutchess County, go to Town Shop Bridal.  They have a huge selection, prices include alterations and their consultants have a great eye for knowing what will look good on your body.

Town Shop does have a good selection. But, it's a drive for where you are looking.

I actually found my dress at Camille la Vie in the Palasade mall! They have quite beautiful dresses! I was completely surprised!

Also, to get a chance to see yourself in a bunch of different styles that are actually in your size - you might want to take a trip to David's Bridal. (Because most of the private salons have most of their dresses in a size 10, if you aren't a size 10, you may not get teh feel for how that sheath, mermaid, ballgown or a-line style will look if it doesn't zip or has to be pulled to fit you. )

Also, most stores can order any dress from the designer if they are authorized to carry that designer. Some designers even have a loaner program. So you can see what it actually looks like.

Good luck! Dress shopping is so much fun!
