i grew up a few blocks away and spent a bunch of time there when i was younger. it's nice, not really a "high class" cc, but it's not bad. i've always seen it more as a local pool club i guess, but it does look really nice in the winter, they do a great job decorating. i haven't been to an event there in a long time so i can't comment on the food really as i'm sure it's changed since i was there last.

I agree with the PP ... it was on our list of "must see" places but after seeing the Marina Del Ray, The Davenport CC and The Greentree CC, it just didn't compare.  I know alot of pepeople who use it as a pool club during the summer so I guess that's what sticks out more to me.

i actually would put lake isle above greentree. i was seriously not impressed with that place. lake isle has done a MUCH better job of keeping the place in good condition.

Thanks for all the feedback. Honestly they really gave me a great price especially for the time of year that i plan on getting married. i dont think any of the other places woudl have done that for me. We are paying for the whole wedding ourselves and i think Lake Isle is a good fit for us rather than the other places. But if anyone else has anymore feedback I would love to hear it!

Sorry I have to respectfully disagree with you ... yes everyone has their own opinions but everytime I've been at the Greentree everything is sparkling clean.  At Lake Isle the room we saw was dark & dingy, was floor sticky (yes my MOH's shoes stuck to the floor as we were walking).  We looked at Lake Isle b/c it wasn't a place any of our friends had been married at, when we mentioned it to friends who live inthe Eastchester area they all said they'd never get married there.  It was more of a summer social place.

A friend got married at Westchester Manor and got a GREAT deal there so maybe check them out too.  But if you stick with Lake Isle I'd definately try to find brides who were married there to get first hand feedback.  Even talk to local vendors and see what they say (and not necessarily vendors that may be on LI's suggested list)
