Anyone Donating?

My sister donated to St.Judes Childrens hospital for her wedding and received these fabulous bookmarks that she used as her wedding favors. Anyone doing the same type of thing? I would like to donate to possibly the same charity or to the March of Dimes.

we donated to andrus childrens home.
They were very grateful.
We made a printout on nice cardstock...explaining the charity a little with their website and put this on the tables in lieu of a favor

We are planning on doing so-to the ASPCA. They give you place cards. I've been to weddings that have given to the American Heart Association and Diabetes Association.

we are also doing aspca because we adopted a dog from there 2 yrs ago

We're donating to the greyhound rescue organization we work with. We are attaching the note about the donation to an edible favor though. We thought it wasn't fair that the favor was only a donation and nothing for the guests to actually have.

I definitely plan to do a donation.

I've always liked http://www.heifer.org. You choose to donate trees, livestock, honeybees, etc to a community in an impoverished part of the world. They raise and cultivate your gifts to build something for themselves. Then they pass on the gift by giving the offspring or next generation of seeds to another community in need.

We are donating to Make A Wish.  My cousin's daughter had a wish granted last year and my family donates to them monthly.  We are going to try to satisfy one of the urgent needs wishes listed on their webpage for our wedding donation though.

I donated to a local dog shelter.  We made little cards that we attached to snowflake ordaments (snowflakes were our theme, winter wedding).  I can give you the write up if you want.

We are doing exactly this. But to Juvenile Diabetes. We are attaching a "sweet" note. Found the quote on wedding wire, the writing was perfect.

I should add that we are also doing CDs as a tangible favor (my fiance is an ex-deejay and a huge music buff and he'll be making it). Since I volunteer at the ASPCA and my kitties mean the world to me, our favors will reflect both of our passions and what helps define us.
