Starting last week we had a wedding at Surf Club in New Rochelle this weekend we have a wedding at Marina Del Ray, Next weekend The Hamptons, The weekend after Villa Barone and then our own the weekend after at Villa Barone in Mahopac.
Review of Surf Club- Place was beautiful (even with it raining outside which pushed the ceremony indoors it was beautiful. The only few downsides and its a common thing among catering halls that I have witnessed in the past is the timeliness of serving. Our table of 12 most got served except for 1 person who waited an extra 5 minutes, one guest was served the incorrect order but sucked it up and later on mentioned to the server who wondered why they had an extra chicken dinner. One guest got served the "butt" of the steak which was like a brick,it was approx 3 inches thick compared to a normal order which was 1" thick. The meat, fich was also served with potato wedges like french fries (not sure if this is all they come with or was the couples decision) most times you get mashed or small baked potatoes. Most people ordered the meat medium rare and everyone's came out well done. The cocktail hour the meat (not sure the cut but was very well done) The cookies placed on the table had the cookie vendors business cards placed on top of the cookies which was a bit tacky. The rest of the cocktail hour food was excellent, The cake was chocolate filling and was great. Overall it was a wonderful evening the crowd had an excellent time.
