BEWARE OF THIS SCAM!!

I have some items listed on the classified boards and have been communicating with this person for 2 days about buying my items when it came down to payment this is what I recieved! BEWARE this is obviously a scam!!
The email was from abbeyjames.


Thanks for your response, i am okay with the price and condition of the item you listed for sale and i will be paying you via Money Order or cashier's check,which ever one you prefer.I also have a shipping agent that will be coming to pick up the item you are selling to me.Though they have been appointed to pick up all items that will be used for my daughter's wedding coming up soon. I will be very busy to attend to them due to the wedding plan so i will like them to pick up the item from you.I will add some amount of money to the payment that will be sent to you to cover the shipping your item and those wedding
items to me.

Here is what i want you to do,once you receive the payment,cash it,deduct the amount of the your items and wire the rest fund included to the shipper so they can go around and pick up the items.Can i trust you with that? Please get back to me with the payment:

At least you recognized it was a scam. I work for a bank and people fall for stuff like that all of the time, and there's nothing that we can do to help them. I hate people (scammer people that is)

Be aware that they hardly ever use the same email once they know someone is on to them. Almost overtime I list something forsale on a site other than Ebay, I get these emails.

I also have items listed on the boards and this is the same person that I got...but they were willing to pay through payapl and triend to use emails that looked like paypal emails. I contacted paypal right away and they notified me that the invoice number was fake...and not to give them any money. These people also wanted me to wire money and so on...Please becareful out there.

This happened to me on another site by a different person...I never even contacted them back..there are a lot of these people out there and it is a shame!!!!

This happened to me while trying to sell something on Craig's List.  I received a check for substantially more than the negotiated price for my couch, followed by an email kindly explaining a "mistake" was made and can I please cash the check and send the extra money. 

Ummmm no.  Took the check to the bank just to confirm that it was a scam and sure enough it was a fake routing number.  I emailed him back and let him know "his" money was on its way right after reporting him to CL.  People are pathetic.
