Make your own Wedding Photo books

Can anyone recommend a good website to make your own photo albums/ books that look professional?  I am looking preferably to make my own leather hard bound book once i get my pics. I made an engagement book through Shutterfly, but i want something a little better and maybe leather for our actual wedding ones. We are getting a hi res CD but i didnt want to pay the photog hundreds of dollars more to make our book.

Re: Make your own Wedding Photo books

  • There are 2 sites that i've used and looooved. Mixbook (my fave), and MyPublisher. They're both really good, but the advantage to mixbook is you don't have to install any software on your computler. With my pulisher, you do... However, it's not really a big deal. Another site is Picaboo. I have a groupon for that site, but i haven't used it yet. Also, here is a website that posts reviews for them ALL... Like... ALL. There are tons. THey also post groupons, coupons and free offers! I've found it very helpful :)

    I hope this all helps!
  • Theres also Photobook America which has a groupon right now.

I just ordered a free one from Shutterfly (had a gift certificate/promo code) but I haven't gotten it yet so I can't tell on the quality (it was just for photobooth pics so doesn't have to be that fancy anyways).

Are you guys making the same book for each set of parents or are you customizing it for groom's side vs. bride's side?

  • HeritageMakers is another great one (especially if you are a fan of scrap booking). They have tons of template options, backgrounds, borders, themes, etc. I'll probably end up using them when I'm ready. Good luck!

I did a lot of searching on these forums regarding that & I've seen that Mixbooks & Photobooks America seem to be the best for basic albums. Blurb has higher quality albums and Somerset Albums (LINK) lets you create the professional flush mount albums. They start at ~$300, but that's a whole lot less expensive than doing it through your photog.

I think that is kind of what i am looking for is either doing Flush mount book myself or the lay flat pages. I know either way is still going to be costly, but photog wanted $600+ more to do it. I do like the Madison and Victorian style offered through Picaboo. But even those start at $199 and it seems some groupons can only be used on their classic book style. They have flush mount too but start at $399. I guess i will keep looking around and check out those other sites. I was thinking i would be willing to spend between $200-$300 for a great quality book but it would have to really be worth it to me.

<div align="left">Thanks i checked this out and it looks like they have really nice quality books with leather cover options, and name stamping and even slip covers or boxes to store them in, but they too are between $300- $320. They currently have a promotion for 40% off all books, which averages out to be cheaper than the groupon deal.  Too bad you can't use the groupon with the sale. </div>
