Engagement Party Venues

Hi!  I am looking for a place to host an engagement party for 50-75 people.  We are hoping to NOT have to pay a room fee.  We're planning on a Saturday afternoon in June, from about 3-6, outdoor space would be great.  Thanks!

    If you are in Boston, I would definitely recommend doing a clambake at the Community Boating house on the Charles River. We seriously considered having our rehearsal dinner there.

    We are hoping to keep the cost to around $500-750.  My mom is throwing the party for us, but I am doing all the planning because she lives in Maine and doesn't know the area.  We're thinking about a small bar/restaurant in Cambridge that will just let us basically have the run of the place (we're doing it at an off time 3-6, so the places I have talked to have been fine with that).  Ideally somehwhere that has parking or parking nearby, and is accessible by T would be great.  So far I have emailed Temple Bar, Daedalus, Trata and Orleans.  Any other suggestions?
