I am looking for recs for dress shops in the area (I live in Roslindale). Looking for anything in Boston or south of the city.

I'm on a budget, so if you know of any stores that have dresses under $600.

I am looking for a place with good customer service and perhaps vintage-inspired dresses.

Try Terry's in Norwood Center.  They have an amazing selection and a wonderful staff.  The owner is great to work with.  Happy hunting!

you could try la sposa in Newton. it's small but the woman has been doing it forever. i got my dress for about $565. my friend also had great luck at giannas in stoneham.

Try Precious Memories in Malden. It's north of the city, but they had a big selection and I think a good amount at that price point. Lots of Maggie Sottero and Casablanca, plus there is a sale rack that is even cheaper. Service is really nice and friendly (even when we got there 45 minutes late because of traffic).

I also loved Country Weddings in Hingham, but probably a little over your price point.
