Best places for Bridesmaid dresses?

I'm getting all my girls together in a couple of weeks to pick out their dresses.  I'm letting them pick out their own, however they all have different budgets in mind.  Any suggestions of a good place to go?  I'm looking for a place with a good selection and wide range of prices, that doesn't make you feel like you're in a chain warehouse store.  Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

  • Flair on Newbury St. is supposed to be good - or you could go with Bloomingdales or Nordstrom and get less 'bridesmaidy' dresses (from BCBG or Laundry or something). Ooh, or J. Crew, which I initially wanted to use - they have a billion colors and styles, and you can easily order online!
  • My bm's were asked to pick the same color and fabric but could pick their own styles. We went with Aria on Newbury St. and was very happy with their dress selection and styles. We also found that their dresses were the most "wearable" after the wedding.

  • We loved Allegria bridal in Belmont. We mainly went there because they have a very large selection of Amsale bridesmaids dresses. We didnt look at many of the other brands but it looked like they had a great selection.

  • Don't go to Flair. I reviewed them on Yelp.  My name is Laura H. They stressed me out beyond belief with what they did to me. Just go to Yelp and type in Flair bridal. There are other bad reviews too. I'm not one to bad mouth someone but they almost cost me an arm and a leg over the $300+ dresses for my girls. Luckily I contacted the designer directly who really helped me, the shop girl Leah was horrible to deal with and she f'd up badly and they wanted me to pay for extra fabric for all my girls because all their dresses were too small. This was a few weeks before my wedding btw and she measured them in the store!

  • A second vote for Allegria.  They have a good selection there and everyone was really nice.  We went with an Amsale dress as well but did try on many different brands.
  • My bridesmaids got their dresses from Aria on Newbury, I picked the color and they picked the style.  They looked so good!  I was also in a wedding where we got the dresses from Aria and after the wedding I had my shortened and now it is a fabulous cocktail dress!
  • I went to Manhattan Bridal in Dedham for my wedding dress, bm dresses, and my mother got her dress there too! The staff was very helpful and overly accomodating. They have a huge selection (very well organized) and the store was so clean and well-maintained. I absolutely lovedmy experience and recommend them to everyone!!

  • My bm's are getting their dresses from Terry's Bridal in Norwood. The women are wonderful and very helpful. They have a good selection, with books if you want to switch the fabrics and plenty of colors to choose from.
