Honeymoon Ideas?

I'm actually from the Chicagoland area. My FI and I are thinking about going to Boston for our honeymoon though. The only problem is we really don't know what there is to do in Boston; we have just heard that it's a beautiful place to visit. We both are foodies, history buffs, and like to have a nice relaxing time. Any suggestions would be great!

Well if you're history buffs there's really no better place, it is the birth place of the American Revolution of course! I teach American History and find the city to be a wonderful resource.

Boston is great year round but obviously nicer to walk around during the spring and summer months. Boston also has an excellent "foodie" restaurant scene with great places all over the city.

The best thing about Boston is that it's so small that you can walk around most of the city and see all of the cool historic spots.

Here's a website that lists most "touristy" things in Boston, including all things history related.

Feel free to page me if you have any questions!

Boston, to me, would be one of my top vacation spots! I would love visiting, but I'm lucky enough to already live here. Really, pick up any Boston tour book and it will have all the major attractions and historic sites. If you can, take a day to visit Lexington/Concord and the surrounding areas. It's just a beautiful place to drive around, or walk/bike.

Not sure if you are beach people, but it might be nice to spend a couple days at the Cape while you're here.  Or even drive up to Maine, which is probably less expensive and still really nice.
