envelopes are done!

I got home  last night to my big box of envelopes all finished and back from the calligrapher!  I can't wait to send them out...but I think I should wait a week or two, is 8 weeks is the right time?

Also, has anyone had issue with cards and pockets envelopes not sticking??  I needed to use a tape runner to close them, they wouldn't stick at all when I licked.

I ended up using a damp sponge for the envelopes because I didn't want my tongue to become dry from all that licking!! I think for the most part they stuck, but we also put a sticker on the envelope too.

We sent ours about 8 weeks out so I think you're good ;)

    YAY!  That's so exciting :)

Our envelopes didn't seem to be sticking at first either.  I used a Qtip dipped in water and sealed each one. Once they dried they stuck great!

I think 8 weeks is perfect timing.

8 weeks is perfect! as of right now.. I am looking at sending mine about 6-7 weeks before because of school and my lateness on getting everything to the printer because of school..... especially if you sent save the dates. You are definitely good then!

wait to clarify- 8 weeks before the wedding or 8 weeks before the rsvp date? I am giving them about 6-7 weeks from the RSVP date... and about 10 weeks from the wedding.. but my friends and family are slow to respond so I needed the extra padding with them.

We're sending them out 8 weeks before the wedding, 5 weeks before the RSVP date, but only cause we're having such a large wedding, I need my numbers a little earlier than I would have done otherwise.

I think it all depends on when you need a final count by. We are sending them out 9 weeks before our wedding (at least that is the plan) because we need to let the country club know 2 weeks before the wedding. So we are asking for everyone to RSVP 5 weeks before the wedding to give us sometime to chase down people if they don't reply.
