Normal 0 Normal 0 I allotted an amount that I thought was reasonable to spend on my wedding gown. Today, I brought my mother for the first time to view some wedding gowns I had narrowed my search down to. The last dress I tried on for her, Monique Lhuillier- Wallis, I warned my mother that it was well outside of my budgeted amount. When I walked out with the gown on my mother could not stop swooning and crying- the same reaction I had the first time I tried it on. She insisted that I get the gown and even offered to pay for it. Very generous of her but I can't fathom my parents dipping into their retirement fund to buy my wedding gown. I am sure this is a predicament many brides have. I think it might be a bit much for a dress I would wear for ONE day of my life. Granted, one of the biggest days of a woman's life...but I am sure you ladies understand what I am getting at. Bit the bullet and buy your dream dress, or be financially reasonable? This is the dress if you are curious:
