Has anyone done this or is planning on doing it?

Ok so I got my wedding invitations....As per my last post I LUV EM!
I don't know why this is bugging the crap out of me -- it just could be ME being
anal (a word I hate but identify with sometimes) ugh..perhaps I could say more it's me being a perfectionist
Kiss

Here goes....In terms of my inner envelope....I don't want to lick it closed. I could've sworn somewhere within my wedding invitations investigating  that there's some sort of circular adhesive foil closure you can use to close the envelope without licking it? Sort of like a seal that they use on award shows. Just trying to give a visual.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Am I being ridiculous? Or does ettiquette say something like I'm not even suppose to lick it close. Oh the rules and regulations are killing me!!!!!

I had no clue how particular I would be when it came to my invites!  Who knew? HA

Thanks for your help.

Inner envelopes actually shouldn't have a seal on them to close. They're supposed to be left open.

I didn't seal the inner, as pp said, I don't think you are supposed to.
    Only seal the outer.

    Thanks ladies.

*MIDGETTE** lol .....I luv being the comedic relief :-) Imagine living inside my head! lol I know I sound certifiable! It's all these stupid small details that I get hung up on lol...noooo not ocd -- just the Virgo coming out in me and being a perfectionist.  I found a monogrammed seal after I posted my ? -- I think I'll seal the outer envelopes and be done with it :-)

Thank God I asked.... what a huge faux pas I would've made.... I didn't know you weren't supposed to seal the inner envelope!!!!. Jesus there should be a small tutorial somewhere when you become engaged the what to do's and what not to do's. Good grief!

    Thank God for this board!

i don't even think my inner envelope had the glue to lick it.    There is no way we were licking all those envelopes (the outer ones!) :)  that stuff is nasty!  we just used we papertowels.

Inner envelopes didn't get sealed. (Like pp said, they didn't have glue on them)

Outer envelopes we use an envelope sealer. They sell the tubes at staples.
