I'm embroidering 6 handkerchiefs for our wedding. One for me, FI, and each of our parents. The "6 of Clubs" is our lucky card, so I am putting the 4 clubs on the ones for our parents right side up, and the 2 on ours upside down--just like the playing card. I did ours in blue stiching so it can be my "something blue"--FMIL got a purple dress, so I'll do the IL's in purple, and once my mom gets her dress, I'll do my parents' in that color.

These are great! How did you create the iron on pattern?

spuccio: I used that t-shirt iron-on transfer stuff that they sell at the fabric store.  I made the design in microsoft word, then printed it in reverse using a regular inkjet printer (make sure to print it in reverse--otherwise the letters will all be backwards).  I ironed them on the handkerchiefs and then used a 4'' embroidery hoop & embroidery floss.  For the bigger font I used 2 strands of floss (it comes with 6 strands twisted together--I just pulled it apart), and for the smaller font I just used 1 strand of floss.  Voila!

I'm inspired. I bought a hoop, floss, and a book of iron on patterns at the craft store yesterday :-) Thanks for the help!
