How about when you are one of 3 brides in a very small office environment (maybe 10 women or so -- so its really odd that all of us are getting married this year) and having the smallest wedding?  So the young girls compare rings, how much invitations costs, where they registered, how much they got, how much their dresses cost, need I go on....and well, I'm having 10 people at my wedding and paying the airfair for 2 of them to fly in to boot.  So, no wedding shower, registry or anything else for me.  The stone on my e Ring was from my mother's wedding ring (2nd husband).  We are happy with our location and I'm pretty happy with the menu and cake....so beauty, good food, family and some special friends.  I really hate to hear all about how much they spent and how much they got.  It takes away from my small intimate wedding and pisses me off.
