I got married in Connecticut on 8/8, and am waiting for my pro pics and a couple loose ends before posting full vendor reviews, but I wanted to post this one ASAP. I never thought our DJ would be my favorite vendor. QNR productions is owned by Eric Walker and his wife, Celeste, who is also a wedding coordinator. We paid about half of the going rate for wedding DJs in New England, and got Celeste, Eric, and another DJ on the day of the wedding (total of 3 people at the wedding!). Prior to the wedding, Celeste drove from Boston to check out the venue (in Connecticut), meet with the folks that work there (we had some other issues with the venue that Celeste was AWESOME about), and would call me to check in ALL THE TIME. It was awesome. Day-of, Celeste worked as the MC/coordinator, Eric DJ’d downstairs, and the other DJ worked the cocktail hour and as a back-up for Eric. We met three times prior to the wedding to discuss music options (my husband and I were not much help). I don’t know how they did it, but they kept even our stuffiest and grumpiest guests dancing from the minute the dance floor opened until the lights came on at the end of the night. We got compliments from guests all night about the music. One example: my husband’s family is from Texas. At one point, his uncle came running over and said “I can’t believe you played the U(niversity of) T(exas) fight song! That’s awesome!” We hadn’t mentioned it to Eric; he just correctly thought it would be awesome to play subtly, during dinner. Eric also gladly took requests all night and even hooked up a friend’s iPod at one point to play a song from back in the college days. Without a doubt, this vendor went above and beyond the call of duty, and at a great price. Please let me know if you want more info, contact info, or have any questions.
