I've asked this before, but I just wanted to make sure. I'm attending a Catholic ceremony and a BTO reception. I'd prefer to wear 1 outfit throughout the day and night. I hate the idea of shawls. Will I offend anyone if I wear this?
You should be fine. We had a Catholic Mass and my bridesmaids and I all wore strapless dresses, along with plenty of our female guests. There are some very traditional Catholic churches who frown upon it, but those are pretty few and far between these days, I think.
a) BEAUTIFUL!! b) nope i don't think so. i wore a strapless dress to a catholic bto wedding as well and there were some ummm interesting? dresses (i'm talking low cut v neck ridiculousness) so you will be fine! i also wore a strapless gown to my own catholic wedding, bms did the same and almost all the girls wore strapless dress as well (guests). GL!!
you wouldn't offend me! gorgeous dress.Church silliness is the reason I am not getting married in the Catholic church, haha. Luckily my Grandma still loves me anyway!
I've worn and seen plenty of other people wear strapless dresses at Catholic weddings, you'll be fine! Plus, IMO strapless is a lot better than something crazy low cut.
your totally fine! Most churches in this area are a OK. If you posted this on the catholic wedding boards you will get a different answer but I wouldn't worry about it.
The dress is beautiful! I don't think there should be a problem...However I am getting married in a Catholic church in November and this church requires covered shoulders so my dress has removable cap sleeves.
