Vendor warning -- Candy Direct

Hey ladies, You all are so helpful so I wanted to return the favor and let you know of my (bad) experience with Candy Direct. I ordered from them and they took forever to ship out the order. Then they only shipped out half the order, without notifying me, and then I got the rest the next week. They seem to *always* be out of stock of something! I finally went on ebay and found some good stuff. Defintely something to check into for all you candy buffet brides out there! Also, when I finally opened the candy, a whole box of blue raspberry fruit slices were infested with ants. Completely unusable, of course. I called them and they are completely unwilling to help. There goes all that candy for my candy buffet. Thankfully, I have more than enough for my forty guests but I *love* those fruit slices. Hehe, at least I will be able to fit in my wedding dress now! :-) I am not saying don't order from there but allow yourselves PLENTY of time before your weddings in case of sell outs, slow shipping, half shipping, etc. And open ALL the candy you get, the day you get it and inspect all of it and call ASAP with any problems. Allow lots of waiting time to get them on the phone as well. Good luck ladies! And thanks for all your previous help! :-)

candywarehouse.com was phenomenal. I did 2-3 day shipping and they came the next day all packaged with ice packs. They were great, highly recommend!

Scarlet - nope! Can you believe that?! Amr - such a good idea. I had just gotten engaged right before Vday so I was totally not prepared for those sales. Smart lady! :-)

I can't believe that they didn't give  you a refund! I think a very nasty email is in order. I would also consider notifying the BBB! Oh and did you contact your credit card company to dispute the charge? You might want to consider doing that too!! So gross~
