Grandview in Poughkeepsie - advice needed

Hello All,

I was hoping for some help from anyone who has had their wedding here! I recently saw the Granview and really loved the tented area but had some worries. If you have any experience with the below - I would love to hear about it.

1. I know there will be another wedding at the same time as ours - did you notice the other wedding when sharing bathrooms? Did you notice when you were outside for the cocktail hour?  Was it noticeable at all?

2. Was the dance floor big in the tent? We will probably be at full capacity.

3. Did your guests get id??? I've been reading a lot about that.

4. If it rained - did it affect your wedding at all?

I was a guest at a wedding in the tent of the Grandview about 3 years ago.  It was a beautiful and amazing day.  The dance floor was large and packed for most of the night with plenty of room for all dancers.  I don't recall getting IDed, nor do I remember seeing anyone else getting IDed.  It rained off and on during my friend's reception and each time the rain started, the staff quickly put the sides to the tent down so guests would not get wet.  They were quick and efficient at doing this and did not get into the way at all.  Each time the rain stopped, the sides were opened again.  The food was delicious and the staff were friendly.
We did notice the other wedding, partially because a friend and I wanted to go into the other room to mingle.  Each time we tried to sneak in, a Grandview staff member politely directed us back to our party.  I do believe we used a separate bathroom from the other party, but I could be wrong about that.  I would recommend a wedding there!
