Hairstylists in Rockland/Bergen/Westchester

Hi Ladies,

Do you have recommendations for hairstylists in Rockland, Bergen or Westchested counties?

I just got off the phone with a hairdresser that was recommended to me by a friend, and she made a really bad impression on me, besides asking $650 for a bridal hairstyle alone... WTF? really? My dress cost this much!

Any recommendations? Thank you, ladies!!!

    I'm using Stratos, www.hairbystratos.com but I almost booked Mandy at LaSorella Bridal www.lasorellabridal.com

    I don't have any suggestions but $650.  Is that normal, because if it is I am doing my own hair.

    No 650 is not normal for bridal hair alone. I'm paying 125 or 150 (can't remember off the top of my head).

    I am definitely not using that girl. Her first reaction to my call was: "Well will you come in to the salon?" and when I said, no, she said: "well because the bridal hairstyle in a salon is $650"... there is no way she makes that as a salary, so why is she telling me that anyways?

    I scheduled a trial with LaSorella, Stratos is already booked. I will check out the Pearl River spot as well, since that's where I live :)

    My bride ( we just got married a few days ago!! ) is a hairstylist at Shine Salon & Spa in Ossining. It's an awesome full service salon/spa - and she JUSt went through her own wedding so it might be worth calling her up ... her name is Dawn .. 914 762 6675
