recommend your: videographer

FI and I were discussing videography last night.  We had originally not wanted to get to hire one, but I think we are leaning towards having one now.Any good recommendations?  I don't even know where to start on this one.Our wedding is 11/14/2009!  So under 60 days now :-)

we ended up booking ours about a month out since we originally planned not to have one. So you may find that many are available - we had our pick for the most part even at that late date...

We must have looked at 10 or so, it was honestly the worst vendor to book IMO. Originally we didn't want to spend a lot and were hoping to keep the pricing at $800 or less but when we saw the demos of videographers in that price range we just werent happy with the at all!! We ended up booking Angelina Video from a recommendation of a friend that had used her back in April. Amy is extremely responsive and has a great product. Here is her website: http://angelinavideo.com/Angelina%20Weddings.htmGood luck!

Barry from Blue Chip - http://bluechipvideoproductions.com/index.htmlI really really wish I had a clip online.  His site does not at all do him any justice.  Our video was awesome!  I think we've watched it like 10 times already.

Thanks so much everyone- I'm nervous about finding the right one! I will definitely be checking out all of these sites during my lunch break. All my other vendors are booked and ready to go.

Try D*ck Osso. Honestly, I think I looked at every videographer in the area--it was something that was important to me. IMO, a lot of videographers are pretty cheesy or unimaginative (or a combo of both)--for example, their slideshows are just slide, slide, slide, no panning or zooming in. (We did a birth-to-wedding slideshow for the dinner and it was incredible.) D*ck has been in the TV business for over 20 years, and really knows his stuff. He also stays until the very last dance, and is EVERYWHERE (without being instrusive); I never saw him take a break. Honestly one of my favorite vendors. He's also really reasonable. PS-And good call deciding to get a videographer. With the wedding now over (and the photos in), I cannot imagine not having a video. I want to hear the speeches again, see the dancing, see the guys before the ceremony, etc., etc., etc.--there is so much in the wedding you miss because you're not there or miss because you're just distracted and in a happy daze!

I loved our videographer, David Bettencourt. There is a clip of the 8mm footage at the top of my married bio. Since you are so close to your wedding, try negotiating on price too.

We're using Media Concepts in Whitman http://www.videographybymediaconcepts.com/ We really got along good with the owner when we met with him (and he is the one doing our video) The videos on his website are beautiful. When you call around, I would also ask about an "off season" discount, I think you are off season, and it can't hurt.

Blush Films http://www.blushweddingfilms.com Our photographer does both- we hired Karen for our photographer, but she also does video. I know she also offers discounts if you are having your wedding in not so popular months. We opted not for video. I hope we don't regret it.

Video Visions Forever!  My wedding was over 4 years ago, and I still watch my video frequently (and still get goosebumps doing so).  It really is like living the day over and over again.  LOVE IT!

Another Video Visions Forever bride here.  We're so excited to be using Tim, he has been wonderful.  We looked at a lot of people but his work was the best and his price was very reasonable.  GL!
