ProFlowers Scam

I am not sure if anyone has posted on here about the recent ProFlowers scam. If not, here we go. I was not paying enough attention to my credit card statements until I noticed $15 montly charges from Easy Saver Marketing. I found out this is affiliated with ProFlowers. Long story short if you have ever clicked on a "save $10 on your next purchase" coupon you are automatically enrolled in a plan that charges your credit card $15 per month, so you can "save money". I reported it to my bank who said they had heard that same scam three times in the past few days. I was told I was getting a full refund, but am still waiting. ProFlowers denied any knowledge, but their CS rep just happened to have the phone number for Easy Saver on hand. You do the math...

That happened to me a while back, but with Stamps.com.  I was billed $30/mo for about 10 months.  I never paid attention to my statement, but you can bet your bum I do now!! Unfortunately, law says you have 30 days to review and refute any charges, so I got screwed.  Hope the same doesn't happen to you!!!
  • I had the same problem with stamps.com

When I went on their website their was something about a free trial that I mistakenly clicked and then thought I canceled. I yesterday I discovered they had been charging me $15.99 a month for no reason. They never sent a bill or anything to make me aware I was being charged. I complained to the company and they said "we do not send unsolicited statements out, which is standard for companies that charge a non-usage-based fee." They work through this loophole and are complete scam artists. Basically they charge $15.99 for the honor of having an unused account. I let this go on for a really long time because the fee is so low it is easy to miss. Watch out about giving them your credit info and check your bank statement if you've used them.

The customer service guy at my bank was really helpful when I noticed it. He gave me their number to call and cancel my account he gave me a new debit card as a precaution to make sure they can no longer steal $15.99 a month from me without my knowledge. He also filed a fraud report for me.

Since I was mad I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
The BBB showed several similar complaints but since they work through a legal loophole they are still rated well.

Stamps.com has since offered to refund $30 of the $240 they took from my account without my knowledge. I'm waiting to hear back from my bank or the BBB about a full refund.

I was really mad they stole my money so I thought I'd warn people about them.Watch out when getting your wedding stamps!
