Candy Buffet

Hi Ladies... we are thinking about having a candy buffet at my daughter's wedding.  We are planning on 170 guests attending.How many different candy jars did you or would you get and how many pounds of each candy.  Thanks !

    A good estimate is 1/2lb per person. We had 125 guests and we did 60lbs and just about everything went so it was a perfect estimate.We used candywarehouse dot com and they were fabulous. You can search by color. Here is a pic of my buffet if the pic works![img]http://snipurl.com/s13tr[/img]

    we had 225 guests and 120 pounds of candy, with a small amount left over (it worked out b/c halloween was shortly after). I had 13 or 14 candy jars, i think remember.

    Did you ladies use your candy as your favors, or did the guests eat it throughout the reception? I'm also trying to figure out how much is enough (for about 190 guests)
