Back again, but this time for one of my BMs

One of my bridesmaids got engaged and is now looking for vendors and since this board was so helpful when I got married I thought I would ask a question for her: She wants to have the ceremony someplace like a historic house or other unique location. She already has been looking the lyman estate and the codman house. She doesn't want it to be too far outside Boston. Any suggestions? Thanks

http://www.discoverwaltham.com/history.phpit's a list of a few mansions...my cousin had his reception at Stonehurst, and it was very pretty...only tough part was the guests were split into multiple rooms (not ideal IMO)

is she looking for the whole reception or just the ceremony? Harvard Faculty Club might fit the bill, but she needs sponsorship of a Harvard alum or faculty/instructor/postdoc.

The Endicott House is beautiful.  And the Larz Anderson Museum (it's an auto/transportation museum in a converted 19th century carriage house) is both historic and unique! www.eventective.com

Willowdale Estate in Topsfield, although it's a good 40 min drive from boston. I'm at the Stevens Estate if she has any questions about that.

The Henderson House in Westin is actually very beautiful!  And I've heard their pricing is very reasonable.  Definitely check it out!http://www.northeastern.edu/henderson/virtualtour/qtvrintro.html

A historic location was exactly what we were looking for.  We ended up with Hamilton Hall in Salem (which we LOVE!)  Other places we considered were Lyman Estate, Topsfield Commons, Endicott Estate, Saphire Estate and Searles Castle.

It's funny, but I've looked at all the above (online) and im going to see 3 today and tomorrow. Did you choose one? If so, why and why not the others? *i'm at a loss at where to choose!!!*
