What was on your do not play list?

Making the song lists for the DJ- he doesn't play any of the gimmicky line dance-ish stuff anyway, but I'm having a hard time coming up with other songs to put on the list.Any suggestions?

I told the people I dealt with "no line dances funky chicken etc"  I let them deal with the rest. They know how to get a crowd going..it is their job- I left it to them.

well mine will be: Country music unless a specific song is requested, Last Dance by Donna Summers becuase it was my parent's wedding song and my parents are divorced, Hey Jude because it reminds my FI of an ex, and a handful of other songs because they either reminds us of an ex or we really hate them. I don't really care what is played because it's only one song, so my Do Not Play songs are songs that remind us of something we'd rather not be thinking of on our wedding day. If Hey Jude is played, we will both be reminded of FI's ex, and I don't want to be thinking of that on my wedding day.

Ours was pretty short: no choreographed songs (YMCA, Macarena, etc...he doesn't play them anyway, but we just wanted to make it clear); Christian music; reggae; Dave Mathews (I hate him); rap.  We're trusting him to do the rest.

Probably: No country music, bad disco, salsa. Everything else is fair game.

any songs that have significance with ex relationships that you probably wouldn't want to be reminded of on this day... haha

We had a band, but for DJs, I would have said no rap. I actually like it--but I always feel it sort of clears the dance floor of anyone under 35 or so. Hip hop is fine in moderation.

I banned "Sexyback" and "golddigger"; the first b/c I don't like it, the second b/c the lyrics are inappropriate. But I had a band, so I had a much abbreviated song list to comb through.

The CONGA LINE. Ugh, it takes forever and is absurd. What a waste of 8 minutes......
