Parent Gifts?

Any ideas girls?  I am at a loss as to what get to my parents.  We have a gift for future hubby's.Thanks!Gina

We are in the same boat, Gina - stumped as to what to get the parents. We were going to do a framed e-pic of us and a card that said they'd get a wedding album later, but I'm uncomfortable giving people photos of myself. I want to do a donation to different charities in their names, but FI doesn't like the idea. He wants to give them something tangible.

We are struggling with this too, and we have 4 sets of parents (both ours are divorced and remarried).  So far we are giving each set a framed e-pic (one of the versions they haven't seen yet) and then i want to do MOB and MOG embroidered handkerchiefs for my mom and his.  I'm stuck on what do to for FOB and FOG though.

We got a gift certificate to a nice restaurant. Not creative, but with all the help they gave us, we figured they needed a night out.

We are giving them all embroidered handkerchiefs (I'm doing the embroidering, PIB).  I'd like to do something on top of that, but don't know what yet.  I think we might take them all out to lunch before the rehearsal, or maybe pay for their hotel rooms the night of the wedding.  And ovo: we'll be giving them photos of us as well.I'd love to pay to have our mom's hair/make-up done, but my mom doesn't wear make up (ever) and isn't really into the girly hair thing, and my FMIL is going to have her sister-in-law do hers (she's a stylist).  I'm thinking too of giving them all gifts that are related to our wedding for Christmas/their bdays too--like I know FMIL is looking for a clutch to go with her dress, and I know my dad needs a new tie to wear.

We bought gift cards to nice restaurants, Capital Grille and Abe & Louie's. We will also be having pictures done of us with our parents (us with his and us with mine) and getting them framed and giving those as well after the wedding.

I am giving my mom a monogramed compact mirror from Red Envelope and the "Thank You" gift set from Philosophy (bath stuff). FI is getting FMIL a gurgling cod pitcher from Shreve, Crump, and Lowe since it's a New Englandy sort of thing (she's from New England but hasn't lived here in years.

We also have 4 sets of parents (3 are mine, his are still the original series) and I arranged a credit for each set with our photographer's gallery when it is put up, so they can use it toward their own keepsake album or photos that they want.
