Hair and Makeup Recs

So I have done a lot of research and have narrowed down my hair and makeup choices to the following people: Hair - Gina Joubert, Special Event Beauty Makeup - Makeup by Brea, Kimberly Fosher, Special Event BeautyAny rants or raves on any of these people? Hair and makeup is really important to me, and it is going to be fairly expensive, so PLEASE be honest and thorough. Thanks so much!

I used Brea and I loved her!  My friend used Kim Fosher and loved her.  I don't think you can go wrong with any of the vendors you mentioned.

I adore Kimberly Fosher, I had a trial with her and I loved my makeup and her personality.  I also really love Brea, she is wonderful and my make-up was equally amazing!  You can't go wrong with either of them in my book.

I am using Special Event Beauty for both.  I've had trials with both Kim and Rachel but I can't speak for their day-of services. I brought pics of what I was looking for and they both did an AMAZING job and did exactly what I asked.  Rachel designs hair pins and will be making me some to wear on teh wedding day, which I think is really cool.  Kim is also an estitician (sp?) and was able to give me tips on clearing my skin up.  The airbrush makeup she used was flawless, and she even took me out into the hallway (more natural light) to see how the makeup looked in the sunlight. This may sound weird (and I got some weird looks) but I went to the gym the night of my trial (trial was at 11 AM) and ran on the treadmill and the elliptical for an hour.  The hair and makeup stayed on perfectly, even through my sweating and trying to shake the up-do loose.  It really stayed in there, but wasn't so tight that it make my head hurt. Also, it took me about a month and a half to schedule my trial.  My schedule is kind of wacky, and Rachel kept having to re-schedule.  I thought this was really honorable of her because brides were calling her last minute needing hair & makeup.  Since I was just looking for a trial (and I'm a year out) I kind of got put on the back burner, but that was OK with me.  It showed me that on my wedding day, I know that I'll be #1 for them.I would totally 1000% recommend these two ladies.  They were totally fun during my trial too, and I know they will do an amazing job on my wedding.   Sorry this is so long but they are the vendor that I am MOST confident in.  I really like my other vendors too but these two ladies top the list.Good Luck!

I'm having Gina Joubert do my hair.  I love, love her!  She's very talented!  Does a ton of weddings and knows exactly what she's doing.  And she's very laid back and I think she'll be great to have around the day of the wedding.  I'm a hairstylist and very picky...she really impressed me.  I also had a hair trial with Rachel from special Event Beauty.  She was nice and did a good job.  Ultimately I just liked Gina's better.  Kim from Special Event Beauty will be doing the makeup.  I love the airbrush foundation that she uses.  It felt much lighter than regular foundation.  I also loved the false eyelashed she did.  She's a perfectionist and really works with you to get the look you want.

I'm late to this thread, but I used Brea and thought she was fantastic.  She did me, my sisters, my mom, my husband's sister, and my husband's mom, and everyone LOVED her.  I highly recommend her! :)
