Reception:
Hollow Brook Golf Club - AHollowbrook was amazing. It had the look and feel of the clubhouse and grounds was everything we envisioned for our day. Everyone attending commented on how “warm” the atmosphere felt – they said it was like “being home”. A lot of the décor we supplied and the workers at Hollowbrook helping us with putting up everything. Robbyn understood my vision and worked with us to create a day that was unique to our style, theme and personalities. Every “weird” idea I approached her with you were able to make it happen. The phenomenal chef was able to whip up all the unique creations I had in mind and the food was absolutely remarkable. The bartenders were awesome and should receive extra kudos! My family and friends loved their personalities and quick service. We got endless raves about the cocktail hour hors devours and main dishes. When everything tied together the day of the wedding it was truly magical. The service could work out a few kinks and the maître d doesn’t have the greatest personality but it was nothing that can’t be worked on with time. This was a great find. Photographer:
Bright Bird Photography – (Alexa Maxine Miller) - AAlexa has a unique, timeless style of shooting that is beautiful. She is a calming presence and has a great personality. Her photo speak for themselves – they are truly beautiful. I am so glad that I found her. She had no problem traveling to us from Brooklyn and working with our schedule. DJ:
DJ Bri Swatek - ABri is an awesome DJ and person. We loved that he was a “family man” and not the usual sleazy DJ’s we can in contact with while searching. He worked with me on all my “must play” and “do not play” and even made the special edits I wanted to our first dance and parents songs. He was responsive and organized, a true professional. Most importantly the music was awesome. Everyone was on the dance floor all night – we had such a blast! Videography:
Starlight Video Productions - ABill Celnick from Starlight video was a great find! He is truly passionate about what he does and it shows. He treats your wedding with the highest of priority, and has a great turn around time. His work is great! I have only seen the preview video just far but I love it and from all the other positive reviews I know it will be amazing. Another great professional who you will be glad you booked. Makeup:Shanna Kangas-Gruner (me)I did my own airbrush makeup for the wedding day.
Hair:Christine Heinrich of Entirely You Salon – Wappingers Falls - AIve been going to Christine for years and she is awesome. I wanted something very unique for my hair and she was so excited and willing to make it exactly how I wanted. She treated me like gold and my hair came out JUST as I had envisioned it! She is great. Klienfelds - AI loved my experience at Klienfelds. They treated me like royalty and my alterations fit me like a glove! I have absolutely NO complaints. And Randy helped me pick out my dress J It was awesome.
Bridesmaids Gowns:
Town Shop – Poughkeepsie - BI was reluctant to get my bridesmaids dresses at Town Shop because I have had negative experiences there in the past, but they are convenient so I got the dresses there. Overall everything was fine but only 2 out of 8 of my girls got their alterations done there because they are so disorganized and expensive. Their customer service isn’t great and they are unprofessional. Centerpieces:

Flowers by Reni – Fishkill NY - CI gave them a photo of what I wanted for MY bouquet and they replicated it well – it was beautiful and what I wanted, however, 5 minutes into the ceremony it began falling apart and after photos were done there was only a few flowers left – everything had literally fell out. Some roses came off while I walking down the aisle and got stuck in my train for photos. Also, I wanted hand held bouquets for the girls and they gave me the ones that rest on your arm…they looked nice but there must have been a miss-communication somewhere because it was not what I ordered. Flowers were beautiful but not put together well. Tuxes:
Mens Warehouse - ATuxes looked great, place was convenient for everyone.
