Are you sure that the gratuity for the limo and wedding coordinator aren't already included in the pricing? Mine is, so that might be something you want to look at.

I didn't tip any of the people that owed their own business.  I did 20% for the hair dresser, make-up artist, and limo. The limo was included in my bill. The delivery people, I didn't tip.  I didn't really know I was supposed to, since I don't even know who delivered it.  The DJ, I did give a flat tip of $100.00, didn't realy know how much to give.  If it was 2 DJ's I probably wouldn't of given them both $100.00.The Coordinators at the venue, I don't think I am going to send anything.  There were like 5 of them and they were only day of coordinaors.  Our sales coordinator, we may send a gift card for dinner or something.

Ok awesome! Thanks so much ladies! I am definitely looking into the limo tip! I totally didnt even think of that! DIdint think I had to tip the bakery delivery guy...cause I have NO IDEA who the heck they are! As for the day of coordinator...that could be included in the price...good point! Ill have to check it all out! So anyone that owns their own business...I am not tipping...except for my DJ cause he is my mom's hairdressers hubby...so I was going to throw 150$ to them...75$/piece....is this good??

Question: do you tip the venue staff?  Ours includes a 14% gratuity for the servers and says we don't have to tip more than that, but someone told me we should.  Thoughts?

I think $75.00 is good for the DJ.As for the 14% gratuity, I would pitch in some more depending on how the service goes.  I typical tip runs between 18%-20%, so maybe through them another 5% if you are able too...but it is totally up to you!!!!

I would read your contract carefully before tipping the venue staff on top of the 14%!  My venue has an 18% administrative fee but it explicitly states in the contract the their employees are NOT tipped employees and are paid a real hourly wage and not paid as typical waitstaff.  In that case, I do not feel that any additional tip is needed.

On thing I would addMy venue has an 18% administrative fee but it explicitly states in the contract the their employees are NOT tipped employees and are paid a real hourly wage and not paid as typical waitstaff. In this case, they do it for tax purposes.  I questioned this at my venue (they add 20% admin fee, so I did not tip anymore).  They do not call it a gratuity so it is taxable.  I was very frustrated at the fact that I had to pay tax on this fee.

FtMrskram - we are not taxed on the 18% admin fee!
