Nervous

So they laid off a few people in another department at my company today and then we got a meeting request from our VP for Thursday called IDI Underwriting (my dept.) Realigning. Everyone is so nervous. If I lose my job there is no way we can get married next year and I don't know how I will pay all my bills. It's like, way to make us worry for two days! Thanks for letting me vent!

    Our company had a lot of "restructuring" not too long ago, so I know the feeling of waiting you're having - no fun at all :(I'm sending all my positive knottie vibes your way!

    I'm sorry girl!! No matter what happens: Keep your head up!!  I was laid off back in Feburary on this year, and while it was tough for a few weeks (6) to find a new job.. I was able to find an even better one.  it's survivable.  :)  Let us know if you some help!

    Hmm in my experience, usually they get it over with in one shot.  Can you just have a quick meeting with your manager and ask?

    Ekob,I already have. She doesn't know what it's about, none of the managers do which means it's higher up. She said she was nervous at first too but whatever decisions they have made are made and it is pointless to worry.
