you know if i could just nail down a DJ my life would be sooo much better haha... i cancelled our first DJ because of an email experience a fellow knottie had... scary stuff! jen! ... next we lost another DJ because we changed the date of our wedding from winter to spring due to my FI losing his job so im still hunting... we have a lot of young people attending so i wanted more of a club vibe... beat train seems to fit the bill...ANY experience with them at all? good? bad? awesome? horrible? any help would be so wonderful!TIA!

    I assume you're talking about Beat Train Productions... I'm using Ari and I really like him a lot.  He's very low key and I think will give the reception a sohpisticated vibe.  He has a great taste in music and has some eclectic stuff that I think will be good for dinner.  Overall, he's just a really nice guy.  FI and I wanted to avoid any cheese at all and he fits the bill.  If you want to see him, he does Mambo Beat Nights at the Zuzu Lounge (near the Middle East).  Leah is using him this weekend, so you can check out her reviews!

    I'm also using Beat Train, a different DJ, but most of my correspondence has been with Ari.  I like them, they are definitely responsive and seem like they won't be cheesy at all.

    We met with Ari but not for DJ services but for uplighting. So if you're looking for uplighting options I can help but not really for DJs. He seemed very professional, really cool and a good guy. I can imagine he does a great job as a DJ. We ended up up going with RC Uplighting for several different reasons.. mostly because of the price (350 less than beat train) and because someone would be there the entire evening to do the lighting. If you have any other questions I'd be more than happy to answer. Just page me  :)
