Wedding Day Details - Surprises?

What wedding day details do you plan to keep to yourself?-and-If guests continue to inquire, how do you plan to do so?---I'd like to keep the look of my dress a surprise.  It has a coordinating bolero jacket I'll wear for the church ceremony.  It's sort of a fashion moment (very Rachel Zoe in terminology, right?) and I don't want it to be lessened if guests expect it.Not sure how to politely keep dress details under wraps as people tend to ask the bride quite a bit.

I kept the confetti bomb at the end of the night a surprise from everyone (including the groom). And on Friday night at our Welcome Party, the visit from Wally was a surprise for everyone! :)

I made a video of me and my dad throughout the years, which was shown during our first dance---total surprise to Dad (he cried). As for the guests who ask about your dress, make it fun. Wink and tell them its white.

We are surprising our guests by having a Caribbean cocktail band during cocktail hour. I think it'll be a nice surprise and a great way to kick off a summer wedding.

We are keeping the photobooth a secret...that's the big one, but really, a lot of things we are keeping a secret.  The short film at the beginning of our ceremony...the gifts for our parents...the entertainment at our reception...some things like the guestbook & cardbox we've told a few people, but it will definitely be a surprise for others...oh, and my pink shoes!  We definitely want some surprises, and no one in our families knows what to expect.  Pretty much everything that we've told anyone in our families about our wedding they think is "weird" (since we aren't very traditional!)
Yay! Finally able to update my signature :)

When I walk down the aisle I'm going to give my mom a flower and when we walk back I'm going to give my FMIL one. I'm not telling them that but other people know. Everything but the FI knows that I'm going to have venus fly traps added to his boutineer (just for fun) OTher than those I think everything wishes I'm keeping more things a surprise. Since I'm telling everyone every detail.

Nope not really. I have a big mouth and told pretty much every one everything. Too excited!I do think guests that we don't talk to on a daily basis we surprised with the raw bar. Also, I don't think any one expected the location to be like it was. They knew it was Martha's Vineyard, but it is hard to describe the Beach Plum unless you have been there. It is just stunning.

I just ordered a custom cake topper that will look like us, down to the flowers and the detail on my dress.  FI knows nothing about it.  I'm also surprising him with a Patriots garter. I'm keeping my polaroid guestbook a secret from most people.  I'm not showing anyone the photo table numbers.  And no one really knows what my dress looks like except my family and bridesmaids. I agree that surprises are part of what makes a wedding fun.  I knew every detail of my sister's wedding and I think it would have been cooler if I kept some things a surprise.

Thanks, I didn't know if I was alone on this one.  The more I think about it, it seems like a good call.  I don't know that it will be easy since I'm so excited.---"As for the guests who ask about your dress, make it fun. Wink and tell them its white."Love it...  Thanks again!!!

I keep asking FI if he wants to see my shoes or my jewelry and he keeps saying "Nope, I don't want to know anything!" I don't know what he'll like more, my dress or my Nintendo garter! We're hoping to pull together a slideshow video of us with friends and family throughout the years to loop during cocktail hour, so that'll be a surprise. We don't have anything big or grand, but our hope is that everyone has a fun, memorable day with us. I think we have enough special things to make it happen :)

I really want to make a collage of wedding pics of family & relatives to have set up at the reception, but I'm not sure I'll have time to pull it off.  (I just got the idea a couple weeks ago and have been crazy busy.)  But if I do, it will be a surprise for everyone!  Especially for cousins who don't know I have their wedding pics. :)
