Help Color Scheme

Hi ladies,I hope you can help me. A very good friend is getting married next year and for BM dresses she was thinking dark purple/plum color....I think that a great contrast color would be yellow....so for her bouquets we were thinking yellow flowers. Do any of you have any pictures saved of purple dresses and yellow flowers? I remember one of you ladies had it on your bio but I seem to have lost the book mark. TIA

Yellow or marigold would be lovely. Yellow is on the opposite end of the color spectrum but flat purple and flat yellow might not give enough dimension. A mix of yellow and orange tones, perhaps...just found this on google images. [img]http://tinyurl.com/yaxa7ss[/img]

One of my bridesmaids did purple and yellow - I dont have any pics on my computer (it was 6 years ago haha) but it really worked well

Ooops! Posted too soon! Other contrast colors you could use are pink, pink, green, and orange.

I agree, I think that yellow and purple are two really flat colors together. Daffodil yellow and royal purple just dont look right to me. I would go with warmer colors. Even a switch from yellow to gold would make a huge difference. That would look gorgeous with a deep plum color. GL!

Yup - I had purple and yellow - a really vibrant plum bridesmaid dress with yellow calla lilies and black for an accents color.  PIB.
