and since people drank over 40 bottles of wine, i'm not having a pity party for anyone who had to buy a drink. we gave everyone an incredible night in an incredible venue with amazing everything, and provided housing and transportation for a wedding party of 15....so suck it. My idol. ;)

thanks e & e!!! the "hand motion" made me laugh!! i also forgot to mention that the next day (the 4th of july) my parents hosted another party, this time at our house. open house all day long, with food galore and alcohol steadily flowing and a pool and hot tub...and these people hosted a wedding the night before. so again....you want to cry about a cash bar?...suck it. ekobs, i agree re: open cocktail, then cash bar. so as not to highjack this post, i am going to page you instead with some more thoughts =).

We didn't invite any kids except for my niece & nephew who were part of the wedding party. Like Amber, I also wrote black tie on the invitations. Didn't serve chicken because it was too plain for us. Selectively gave certain people the choice of +1, while others didn't.

Newton What is your job/line of work? analyst (healthcare) How many years have you and FI/DH/DW been together? just over five years Give us your most flame-worthy wedding choice or detail. Don't be shy. Give it! We: -didn't provide transportation for the BP (or us!) - had non-floral centerpieces - had a 2 hour gap between the end of the ceremony and the reception - this isn't flame-worthy, but hilarious: two of the four kids (<15) invited to the reception got kicked out. They were 2 and 4, and running all over the place, so the staff asked their mom to take them home/away. So for those not inviting kids, good decision! Mom could have/should have/in hindsight wished she had gotten a babysitter.

Since 2004Give us your most flame-worthy wedding choice:Probably our bridal party?  Or should I say my attendants...  Steve is normal and has 6.  I have 9.  (For those who are curious, it breaks down to my 2 cousins, his 2 sisters, 4 childhood friends, and another friend I met after college who invited me and Steve to her ski house where we met.)That's without a few girls who have had me in their wedding, which makes me feel awkward.  Hence the Wedding Party page on our website isn't up, but maybe I'll get brave and post it!So to recap, our numbers don't match and everyone and their pet hamster is in the wedding, but I couldn't imagine things any other way!

Give us your most flame-worthy wedding choice or detail. Don't be shy. Give it! haha..I might have a little list! First we are getting married in Maine (how inconvenient)...at 11:00am...(even more inconvenient)..on a Sunday (people remind me they have to work on Monday...like I did not know)..but it ends at 4:30 so people have time to get home! Then we have the rule "If I don't know ya, you ain't coming" which means no guests for people unless its relationships that we know of. Our wedding is small (68  guests) so I think it's justified.  I am seeing him before the wedding (apparently thats weird?)..and we aren't having rehearsal.  O yea..and we are serving chicken. But it's our day, right? haha..

haha thanks L-bride! I care to an extent but we were limited on options with a small guest list as Saturdays has a minimum of a larger crowd than what we were having...so I figured I shouldn't forfeit my dream reception for a number count so I just went for it! The family seems excited and the important people will make the trip....the rest of the people..who knows! I'm going to be there and so is my FI so as long as I have that I am all set!
