Printer for Invitations

Has anyone used a printer in the Boston area for invitations? I found a sample online that I live but the seller is asking a lot for them and I wanted to check out some local vendors in the area to see if I could get something similar for a little less. I was originally going to order the invites online but every sample that I have gotten looks and feels really cheap.

How / where is everyone else getting invitations from?

  • I have the same questions! :)

Not sure where you are located but I used Linda at the Paper Store in Reading, Ma.

They have a tone of books with samples from a various of printing vendors that you can review.

Linda was great and our Fall leaf embossed invitations from Carlson were amazing.

  • MNC - thanks for the help! I'm on the South Shore but we have a Paper Store near where I live. I'll definitely check them out. I also looked on TK under vendors and found a few more (not sure why I didn't think of that before)... Soxchick, that may help you as well!!

  • I just ordered my invitations through Minute Man Press. They are a chain so they should be near you. I used Mike in West Newton and he has been great. I sent him the files, and my 130 invites, (including the direction card, accommodation card and RSVP card) printing cost $125. They also do embossing and thermography. He was by far the cheapest I found. I ordered Monday and he emailed me this morning to let me know they were ready to come in and take a look at today!

  • I just sent you a private message!  But for anyone else wondering, I found someone who does invitations out of her house, so it cuts back on the cost somewhat!  She also does beautiful calligraphy!  Her name is Lisa and her email is Hulloruby@comcast.net.  Feel free to email her with any questions or to set up an appointment!

    Great to work with!

  • I used a company online called www.beautifulweddinginvitations.com for my nautical themed invites and we adore them.  Price was good and it arrived at my house in about 3 days!

Plus the ladies who make them work for a charity so all the proceeds are donated to said charity.
