Need (QUICK) help for transportation..!!!!

It's unbelievable.

I've been engaged for well over a year, and I've always wanted my wedding to be held at the chapel at my alma mater, but with construction on campus it was not available for reservation for an undetermined amount of time!

A few months ago I finally accepted the fact that I couldn't get married there, so I started (in my mind) arranging for things to be ready for my home parish, instead.

Well...just got a call from the chaplin at my alma mater.  Seems that they are opening the chapal just in time for my date.....

So many unresolved questions and feelings!  I started putting things together for my home parish, (though nothing is really etched in stone, no deposits or anything...).  The one big kicker is that we don't have a bus company hired for our guests... they would have to get themselves from Boston to Sharon on their own.    We looked into getting one a few weeks ago, but it being foliage season there are very few available and they are very expensive.

Anyone have any other recommendations for transportation?

Try the school districs in your surrounding area.  I am getting mine through the school system (Gloucester).

Not exactly in your area but we're using McGinn Bus out of Lynn...we got a 55 passenger coach for 7 hrs for $600...good luck!

    That is great news!

I am a little confused why people can't drive? Won't their cars be at the ceremony spot? We always drive ourselves from the ceremony to the reception no problem... I called many bus companies in Boston and got about $550 for 4 hours for a 55-passenger. Seems to be the going rate.

Part of the problem is that my alma mater is NOT the easiest place to get to...  There's a lot of one-way streets you have to take, and just when you think you got there, you still have to go past it and then turn around just to get in.  When mailing directions we'd have to send out like 3 or 4 different sets just for the different directions people would be traveling in.

Also, my  mum seems to think that a good number of people (on my side of the family) would skip the ceremony just so they won't have to get themselves into Boston and out.  Which is extremely rude, but I see why some of them would do that.
