Beach wedding location???

My fiance and I recently got engaged and have been talking about having a beach wedding. I've been trying to look up beaches in MA and do my research, but I seem to be getting nowhere. I guess I'm not even exactly sure what I should be looking for as a determining factor as to what would make a beach THE ONE. I was wondering if anybody has gotten married, or knows anyone who has gotten married on a beach in or around Massachusetts other than on the cape?

Hi Sara,  Congrats on your engagement!  When I first got engaged (a couple months ago) We were thinking about a beach wedding, I looked back at my research and only found this one link...  (below) But all I really did was do a bunch of Google searches "beach ceremony massachusetts" "beach wedding mass" "waterfront ceremony mass" "waterfront wedding mass"etc. Stuff like that.

This one has outside ceremony sites down the Cape.

A place I loved was Bournedale Function Facility in Plymouth.  They are on a lake, no the ocean though.  Beautiful reception facility and cute little private beach.

I also wanted to check out the Sea Crest Hotel in Falmouth bc it's leterally right on the ocean.  (The contact person Kathleen was difficult to get a hold of and they were kinda rude when I tried to set up an appt so I was turned off from them.)

You might also wanna consider Newport.  I love their beaches.  GL!

Easton Beach Rotunda in Newport R. I, fairly inexpensive and can accommodate about 170 people. You do have to bring in your own caterer.

I came across some that have an ocean view but I'm not sure if you can get married on an actual beach.

    Elks @ Bass Rocks
    Crane Estate
    Wylie Inn @ Endicott College
    Thompson's Island
    The House of Seven Gables

    Good Luck!!

I never would've thought to look there! I checked it out quick last night and it looks nice. I didn't see anything about their rates, so I'll have to inquire about that. Thanks!

You can get married on Menemsha Beach on MV. This is where I took pictures after my ceremony. The travel channel has rated it in the top ten beaches in the US before.

My daughter got married facing the beach at Thompson Island.  The whole day was wonderful.  Your guests gat a boatride to the Island, the food and scenery were wonderful. You can actually get married on the sand, but we chose to just face the beach. If you would like any other picutres, just let me know.

I'm getting married on Cape Cod but it was a toss up between there and the North Shore. The North Shore has tons of waterviews/beachy venues. Check out Glouster and Rockport they have some beautiful venues. Also a PP mentioned The Elks at Bass Rocks which is very nice and extremely affordably but they book almost 2 years in advance. Also this is a beautiful venue right near Bass Rocks http://www.oceanviewinnandresort.com/  Also check out Plymouth they have several also.

Thank you, I'll be sure to check those out today! We keep going back and forth but we seem to really be drawn to Easton Beach Rotunda, so thank you to RoyalOrient for the suggestion :] but even still, the search continues!
